ZuriQ, a Zürich-based quantum computing startup spun out of ETH Zürich, has raised $25.5 million in seed funding, the company announced on 28 July 2026.
The round was led by Quantonation, with participation from Forward.one, Extantia, Firgun Ventures, and previous investors.
ZuriQ develops trapped-ion quantum processors built on a native two-dimensional architecture, an approach the company says could help increase the number of qubits its systems can support as the technology scales.
The new funding will be used to expand the team, advance research and development, and scale chip fabrication. The announcement highlights continued investor interest in quantum hardware startups pursuing alternative architectures aimed at overcoming scaling constraints in the sector.
