The round was led by WASEDA University Ventures, with participation from SFC Capital and New Wave Ventures LLP. Neubond, a spinout from Imperial College London, said the funding will be used for MHRA certification and a clinical study at Charing Cross Hospital.
The company is developing a wrist-worn rehabilitation device that reads faint electrical signals from muscles and gives patients real-time feedback when an attempted movement activates a muscle. Neubond says the approach is intended to make home-based stroke rehabilitation more measurable and responsive.
The company also notes that its total capital raised includes £720,000 in grant funding.
