EQON, a startup based in Stavanger, Norway, has raised $6 million in seed funding in a round led by Azolla Ventures.
The company develops software-enabled devices for industrial electric heating systems. Its technology plugs into the electrical cabinet of existing systems and is designed to reduce the power and temperature of electric heating cables used in industrial, city, and building applications, helping lower electricity demand and emissions.
The new funding will be used to build more of EQON’s devices and support its push into the U.S. market, where the company plans to market its technology to American customers.
