Kraken Technology Group, a British-founded maritime defence company developing uncrewed surface vessels and payload capabilities, has closed a $175 million Series B round at a $1 billion valuation.

The round was led by Digital Transformation Capital Partners, with backing from the British Business Bank, NATO Innovation Fund, Rheinmetall, Inocea Group, HICO, Thesiger Capital Group, BOKA Capital, Supernova Invest and Hakluyt Capital. Earlier investors including NIF, NSSIF, SmartCap, Notion Capital and Speedinvest also converted to equity following previous rounds.

The new funding will be used to speed up capability development, expand international manufacturing and support the global rollout of Kraken’s uncrewed surface vessels and payload systems. The deal adds to growing investor interest in maritime defence technology, particularly platforms designed for rapid deployment and localized production.
