Centinel, a Hispanic-Argentine startup based in Madrid, has raised €1.2 million in a pre-seed round just two months after launching in January 2026.

The round included Boost Capital Partners, Lanai VC and Abac Capital. Centinel is building software to automate some of the most time-consuming tasks in the accounting close process for large companies through a human and artificial intelligence collaboration model.

The funding will be used to expand its approach to enterprise accounting automation, a category drawing growing attention as finance teams look to reduce manual work and speed up month-end close. Early customer activity in Spain and France suggests demand from larger businesses for tools that can handle complex financial workflows with greater efficiency and auditability.
