The financing combines a SAFE investment from new backer MEDIN Fund Management Company, a second tranche of Regional France 2030 funding managed by Bpifrance, and a loan. The company did not identify the raise as a Series A round, but said it supports preparations for an open Series A.
BiPER said the capital will be used to complete toxicology studies, secure CMC for its lead candidate BPR001-615, strengthen AI R&D capabilities, and launch an AI-powered R&D center in Tunisia. The funding is also intended to support broader drug discovery and development efforts and move BPR001-615 closer to a phase 1/2a clinical trial in gastro-intestinal cancers.
Founded in 2021, BiPER Therapeutics is developing first-in-class therapies that target BiP, also known as GRP78, a protein linked to cancer cell survival. Alongside its lead oncology program, the company is advancing additional work in oncology, autoimmune and metabolic diseases.
