Alta Ares, a Paris-based defense technology company focused on air defense and autonomous systems, has raised €50 million in new funding, the company announced on June 9, 2026.

The round was led by Air Street Capital, with participation from Cherry Ventures, OTB Ventures, and Harpoon Ventures. Alta Ares said the capital will be used for industrialization, product development, international expansion, team growth, new offices in the Middle East and Asia, and expanded production capacity in France and Ukraine.

Founded in 2024, Alta Ares develops combat-proven air defense platforms that combine software for detection, tracking, and terminal guidance with hardware effectors. The company said the raise comes as it sees commercial acceleration, with multi-million-euro contracts signed and deployments underway across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

The funding highlights continued investor interest in European defense technology, particularly companies building autonomous and operationally deployed systems amid rising demand for air defense capabilities.
