Protein.1 is a deep-tech diagnostics company building the first scalable “PCR for proteins.” While DNA analysis has advanced dramatically through amplification technologies, protein detection has remained fundamentally limited—because proteins cannot be copied.

Protein.1 overcomes this barrier by replacing enzymatic amplification with a physics-driven approach. Its platform combines magnetic capture with semiconductor photonics to enable single-molecule detection and cyclic signal amplification for both proteins and nucleic acids. The result is a unified, ultra-sensitive multiomics system capable of detecting disease at its earliest molecular signals.

Built on research developed at VTT and validated through EU-funded breakthrough programs, Protein.1’s technology is protected by granted patents in both Europe and the United States.
