Wearable Robotics raises 5 million EUR Series A to scale development

Italy based startup Wearable Robotics has announced the closure of a 5 million EUR Series A funding round to accelerate its international growth. The investment round included participation from MITO Technology, LIFTT, SIMEST, RoboIT, and Toscana Next, which is a co-investment fund managed by CDP Venture Capital. The company plans to utilize these funds to scale the development of its product portfolio, advance regulatory approvals, and strengthen its commercial presence in the North American market.

Founded as a spin-off of the Scuola Superiore Sant Anna, Wearable Robotics specializes in neuro-rehabilitation technology. The company integrates wearable robotics with augmented and virtual reality to assist in neuromotor recovery. Its flagship device, the ALEX RS, is currently in use across more than 50 international locations. The fresh capital will support the company as it seeks to expand its distribution network and forge new industry partnerships to improve its time to market.
