The round brings in new investors Aspeya, Atlantic Grupa and alpine ski racer Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. Atlantic Grupa said it invested €11 million. Waterdrop did not disclose the company’s valuation or specify the round type.
Founded in 2016 by Daniela Ruoss, Thomas Heimer, Christoph Hermann, Martin Murray, Henry Murray, Waterdrop develops small drink cubes made from fruit and plant extracts that dissolve in water without sugar or artificial preservatives. The company sells through direct-to-consumer channels, retail partnerships and its own international store network.
Waterdrop said the fresh capital will be used to accelerate expansion across Europe, scale its retail business, grow direct-to-consumer operations in key markets and invest in product development.
