Wakeline, a deep-tech startup based in Düsseldorf, has raised €2.1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Aachen-based TechVision Fonds, with participation from Cologne investor neoteq ventures.

Founded in 2025, the company is developing AI systems designed to keep learning during live operation rather than relying only on training from historical data. Wakeline’s approach focuses on a biologically inspired architecture that combines learning and deployment, targeting environments where conditions change quickly.

Its first commercial application is aimed at real-time forecasting for European energy markets. The company also sees longer-term potential in industrial production and medical technology, including neurological research.

Wakeline said the new funding will be used to further develop its platform, speed up market entry, and selectively expand its team.
