Jaeger Gruppe has invested in Valoon, a Dortmund-based startup building software for communication, coordination and documentation on construction sites. The companies did not disclose the investment amount, round, valuation, or timing.

Valoon develops software designed to simplify construction site workflows by connecting with familiar messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Microsoft Teams, rather than requiring workers to adopt entirely new tools. The company says its product is already used on more than 3,000 construction sites worldwide.

Based at the Zentrum für Produktionstechnologie Dortmund on PHOENIX West, Valoon was founded as a spinout from Fraunhofer ISST and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The company is led by Managing Director Marvin Rosian.

The deal links a young construction tech company with an established player in the building sector, underscoring continued interest in practical digital tools for one of the harder-to-digitize parts of the industry.
