The company develops EV charging software, including a charging app and charger management platform used across Europe. Tap Electric says the new funding will support expansion in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Ireland, while also backing further development of its app for EV drivers across Europe.
The investment also points to a broader push into energy-linked charging services. Tap Electric plans to work on vehicle-to-grid projects, smart home charging, open smart charging infrastructure and new features designed to help users make cheaper and more grid-friendly charging decisions.
The round comes as EV charging providers face growing pressure to improve affordability, reliability and grid integration as electric vehicle adoption expands across Europe.
