SolvaPay, a Stockholm-based AI payments platform, has raised €2.4 million in pre-seed funding to build payment infrastructure for the emerging agentic economy.

The round was led by Berlin fintech investor Redstone and Silicon Valley-based MS&AD Ventures, with participation from Antler and Greens Ventures.

Founded in 2022 by Ingemar Svensson, Viggo Stenseth, and Tommy Berglind, SolvaPay is developing machine-native payment rails designed for AI agents that increasingly need to buy API services, access computing resources, and pay for digital tools without human intervention.

The company says the new capital will be used to accelerate development of its transaction layer and agentic revenue infrastructure, expand its engineering team, and support early adoption among businesses looking to reach customers in AI-driven commerce.

The funding comes as competition in agent payments begins to intensify, with companies including Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, Coinbase, and stablecoin startups all moving into the space. SolvaPay is positioning itself as a neutral infrastructure layer that can connect payment methods, APIs, and AI ecosystems as autonomous transactions become more common.
