Dutch startup SolarDew has raised €800,000 in financing from Connect the Drops and Oost NL to scale up industrial production of its solar-powered water purification technology.

The company, based in Gelderland and Overijssel, develops systems that turn seawater or brackish water into drinking water using evaporation and condensation through a membrane. Its technology runs on thermal solar energy and gravity, targeting use cases in remote, coastal, and dry regions where access to safe water is limited.

The new funding will support the next phase of production after SolarDew began industrial manufacturing at the end of last year. Oost NL is participating for the second time, signaling continued backing as the company moves from development into scale-up.
