Radar Reticence, a Halmstad-based startup developing software-based radar technology for the automotive industry, has secured €3.5 million, or SEK 37 million, in new funding.

Founded in 2022 by Emil Nilsson and Hans Hellsten, the company is building on Swedish radar research to address challenges around testing, validation and interference in automotive radar systems. The new capital is expected to support its next phase of growth, including work toward commercial deployment and its first customer pilot.

Radar Reticence has also received backing from the EIC Accelerator and has taken part in projects including SCARCE and MeTARI, which focus on testing radar technology in automotive environments. Commenting on the company’s progress, Almi Invest Investment Manager Stefan Asplund said the team has shown an ability to develop advanced technology while establishing a path to market.

The funding marks a new step for the startup as the automotive sector continues to invest in radar performance and validation tools.
