Overwatch AI, a Barcelona-based startup building AI software for airline operations, has raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed round to further develop Wingman, its decision-support platform for frontline aviation teams.

The round included Baobab Ventures, United Airlines Ventures, Pegasus Airlines Innovation Lab, Masia, and a group of industry and tech angel investors.

Overwatch AI said the new funding will be used to grow its team, expand Wingman’s capabilities, and scale delivery to more airlines. The platform is designed for pilots, dispatchers, operations control teams, cabin crew, and ground staff, allowing them to ask questions in plain language and receive sourced answers based on official documents and live operational data.

The raise signals continued investor interest in AI tools tailored to highly regulated, operationally complex industries, with aviation emerging as an early test case for decision-support systems built around real-time workflows.
