According to the Financial Times, London-based edtech startup Multiverse has secured $70 million at a $2.1 billion valuation from Index and other investors, marking its first funding round since 2022.

The new capital will support the company’s push into AI training, as demand grows for workforce upskilling in data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Multiverse provides professional apprenticeships in tech, data, and software engineering, aiming to help individuals access in-demand roles while giving employers a way to address skills gaps tied to digital transformation.

The funding follows Multiverse’s acquisition of StackFuel in January 2026, a Germany-based provider of data and AI training, as the company broadens its position in the fast-growing market for workplace AI skills.
