Moonlight AI AG, a Courroux, Switzerland-based startup developing AI-powered image analysis software for clinical-grade diagnostics, has closed a $3.3 million seed round announced on May 6, 2026.

The round was co-led by Lotus One Investment, VP Venture Partners, and MEDIN Fund, with participation from N&V Capital and existing investor QAI Ventures.

Moonlight AI is building computer vision technology that analyzes routine blood and cytology smear images to detect genomic biomarkers and disease signatures, aiming to give hematologists and pathologists faster diagnostic insights without relying solely on next-generation sequencing workflows.

The company said the new funding will be used to expand its team, grow its proprietary cytopathology and genomics data library, and further develop diagnostic solutions for myelodysplastic syndrome, non-small cell lung cancer, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It also plans to use the capital to support commercialization and regulatory approval.

The financing comes as Moonlight AI transitions into a Swiss Stock Corporation, a move the company says is intended to support international expansion and commercial rollout.
