London-based Lucida AI has raised a $7 million seed round, bringing its total funding to $8.25 million. The round included participation from Next Tier Ventures, Look AI Ventures, Boğaziçi Ventures, Yapı Kredi FRWRD, and ÜNLÜ & Co.
Lucida AI is developing a speech-to-speech AI platform for global communication, focused on real-time voice conversations. The company says its system is designed to understand context, adapt to individual users, and provide feedback on fluency, pronunciation, and clarity.
According to Lucida AI, the company has grown to more than 3 million users worldwide in the 15 months since launch, generating over 2.2 billion minutes of spoken interaction across Europe, the United States, and emerging markets.
