French payroll startup Linc has raised €8.5 million in seed funding, bringing its total funding to €12.5 million. The Paris-based company, founded in April 2024, said the round was backed by more than 100 business angels alongside Founders Future, Acadian Ventures, Adnexus, 50 Partners, Motier, 199 Ventures, Aonia, Better Angle, Clover, and returning investors Headline and Resonance.

Linc builds payroll software for accounting and payroll firms serving French small businesses. Its platform automates HR data collection and processing, generates payslips through a transparent payroll engine, and supports regulatory monitoring in a market shaped by complex compliance requirements.

The new funding will be used to expand regulatory coverage, strengthen the AI layer in the platform, and hire senior payroll specialists to support customer onboarding. The raise comes as startups continue to target regulated back-office software categories with tools designed for specialist firms rather than broader HR teams.
