Lyft has agreed to acquire Gett’s United Kingdom business in an undisclosed transaction, adding one of London’s best-known black cab apps to its portfolio. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the coming weeks.

Gett, based in London, is used by hundreds of thousands of UK customers and has built strong enterprise relationships alongside its black taxi network. Lyft said the acquisition will expand its coverage across London’s ground transport market and nearly double the number of rides on its platform in the city.

Once the deal closes, Gett’s team will transfer to Freenow by Lyft. No acquisition price or valuation was disclosed.
