London-based Frontier Health has raised a $16 million seed round led by Atomico, with participation from firstminute capital and XYZ Venture Capital.
The startup is developing JUNO, an AI teammate designed for NHS administrative teams. The system works across existing workflows and software to complete routine tasks, flag delays, escalate risk, and support patient flow.
The funding comes as health systems continue to look for ways to ease operational pressure beyond frontline care. Frontier Health says JUNO is already live across a growing number of NHS trusts, including East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, where it saved 221 days of staff time over eight weeks and reduced the time patients spend on a pathway by 22%.
The new capital is set to support Frontier Health’s growth as it expands its presence across the NHS.
