London-based beauty and wellness platform Fresha has raised $80 million in growth funding in a round led by KKR, pushing the company past a $1 billion valuation.

The company said the investment brings its total capital raised to $285 million to date. Founded in 2015 by William Zeqiri and Nick Miller, Fresha said it is already profitable and plans to use the new funding to support global expansion and further product development, including AI tools.

Fresha provides software and marketplace services for more than 130,000 beauty and wellness businesses across sectors including hair, barbering, nails, aesthetics, fitness, and spa. The platform says it facilitates more than 35 million appointments each month and processes over $15 billion in annual gross merchandise volume.

The new capital is expected to support AI-led product development across booking automation, marketing intelligence, accounting, workforce management, and customer engagement, as Fresha looks to expand its footprint in the global beauty and wellness software market.
