Dublin-based CroíValve has secured $27 million in additional capital, made up of a $20 million Series B expansion and $7 million in financing from the European Innovation Council and DTIF grants.
The new funding brings the company’s total Series B to $36 million, and $43 million including grant financing. New investors include BGF and the EIC, with existing investor MedTech Syndicate also participating.
CroíValve is a clinical-stage medical device company developing a transcatheter treatment for tricuspid regurgitation, a serious heart valve condition. The company said the proceeds will be used to expand its TANDEM II Study across additional sites in the US and EU, evaluating the safety and performance of its DUO Adapt System.
The financing marks a fresh step for CroíValve as it advances clinical testing of a device aimed at a condition with limited treatment options for many patients.
