Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Contentful, the composable content platform used by more than 4,800 brands to manage and deliver digital experiences at scale.
The deal would add Contentful’s API-first, headless content infrastructure to Salesforce’s broader Customer 360 platform, linking content management more closely with customer data and AI-driven experience delivery. Salesforce said the acquisition is intended to strengthen its ability to support personalized digital experiences across channels.
Contentful is known for its enterprise-focused composable content platform, which allows companies to manage structured content through a headless architecture designed for modern digital products and services.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Salesforce said the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of its fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
