CollimateHealth, a Munich-based oncology technology startup, has closed an oversubscribed €6 million seed round as it works to advance its microbeam radiation therapy platform toward clinical scale.

The round was backed by VP Venture Partners, Positron, XISTA Science Ventures, HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds, and caesar.

CollimateHealth is developing a form of radiation therapy that uses ultra-narrow beams designed to intensify tumor cell death while reducing damage to surrounding tissue. The company says the approach could also help activate immune responses and improve the effectiveness of chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

The funding highlights continued investor interest in next-generation cancer treatment platforms that aim to improve efficacy while limiting side effects, particularly in radiation oncology, where innovation has historically been more incremental.
