The June 22 round was co-led by Jeito Capital and Sofinnova Partners, with participation from Arkin Bio, Sanofi Ventures, Sixty Degree Capital, Vives Partners and Apollo Health Ventures. Sofinnova had previously seed financed and co-founded the company alongside CEO Frédéric Marrache, a former Sanofi R&D executive.
Based in Paris and Boston, Bionyra is developing a pipeline of mono and multispecific antibodies for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases, with an initial focus on atopic dermatitis and inflammatory bowel disease. The company said it is launching with clinical and IND-stage programs, positioning it to enter the market with both capital and assets already in development.
