Herbalife has agreed to acquire certain assets from London-based personalized supplements company Bioniq in a deal valued at $55 million upfront, with as much as $95 million in additional contingent payments tied to future performance.
The transaction, expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, will be paid over five years and includes an initial $10 million payment at closing.
Founded by Vadim Fedotov, Bioniq develops personalized supplement formulas using questionnaire responses, blood test data and a proprietary nutrition database to tailor products to individual nutrient deficiencies. The acquisition gives Herbalife a deeper foothold in data-driven, personalized nutrition as established wellness companies look to expand beyond standardized products.
As part of the agreement, Herbalife also secured a call option to acquire Bioniq LAB, a separate platform focused on small molecules and peptides, signaling potential interest in a broader personalized health strategy.
