Cambridge-based healthtech startup Auryx has raised $2 million in new funding, with Celero Ventures leading the round, the company announced on April 30, 2026.

Auryx is developing technology that could turn everyday earbuds into continuous monitors for heart and lung health. Its platform uses sound captured through existing microphones to detect physiological signals in real time, aiming to expand health monitoring beyond the optical sensors commonly used in wearables.

The company says the technology is based on research at the University of Cambridge combining machine learning and audio diagnostics. Auryx plans to use the funding to advance hardware integration, improve its models, deepen commercial partnerships, and grow its team.

The raise points to continued investor interest in healthtech platforms that can add clinical-style monitoring capabilities to consumer devices already used at scale.
