Algorithmiq has established Milan as its global headquarters and raised €18 million in new funding, as the quantum software company looks to expand commercial operations and grow its team in Europe.

The round was led by United Ventures and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, with continued participation from Inventure VC. The company said the financing brings its total funding raised to €36 million.

Founded to develop quantum software for applications in chemistry, materials science, and life sciences, Algorithmiq works with major quantum hardware companies as the sector pushes beyond infrastructure toward commercially useful use cases. The decision to base global operations in Milan also reflects a wider bet on Europe’s scientific talent base and its role in the next phase of quantum computing.
