London-based fintech Adfin has raised $18 million in a Series A round, bringing total funding to more than $30 million in less than two years.

The round was led by existing backer Index Ventures, with participation from existing investor Visionaries Club and new investors Stéphane Kurgan and Andrey Khusid.

Adfin started by helping businesses get paid on time, and says the new funding will support a broader push into automating finance workflows through payments infrastructure and AI. That includes plans to build what it describes as an agentic finance platform for money movement, covering areas such as payments, cash management and credit control.

The company also said it is preparing to launch customer agents for credit control, aimed at automating repetitive tasks while keeping human oversight in place.

Founded in London, Adfin is positioning itself around a growing area of fintech focused on combining payments infrastructure with AI to reduce manual finance work for businesses.
