Zerops, a Prague-based platform-as-a-service startup, has raised €1.7 million in a seed funding round led by Gi21 Capital.

The company said the new capital will be used to expand its global infrastructure in the US and Asia, accelerate product development, grow its team, scale infrastructure in the United States, and open a new data centre in Singapore.

Founded in 2021 by Aleš Rechtorík and Jan Saidl as a vshosting.eu spin-off, Zerops is building a cloud platform designed to remove the separation between development and production environments. The startup says this approach allows applications to behave the same way from development through to production, addressing a persistent source of complexity in cloud software deployment.

The round marks a new step in Zerops’ international expansion as it targets growth across North America and Asia.
