WeRoad, a travel company focused on group travel and community-led experiences, has raised $58 million in a Series C round led by Airbnb, with participation from existing investors including H14.

The company said the financing brings its total funding since launch to $100 million. The new capital will be used to support WeRoad’s first major expansion outside Europe, with the United States set as its next market.

Founded in 2017, WeRoad has built its business around group itineraries, a network of trip leaders, and its offline experiences platform, WeMeet. The US launch marks a notable step for the company as it looks to test its community-driven travel model in a new market from its base in Austin.
