Liverpool-based hiring startup Urfuture has raised £1.7 million in seed funding from River Capital to expand its AI platform for entry-level recruitment.

The company is focused on improving how employers identify and assess early-career talent, at a time when traditional CV-based hiring and job boards are facing growing scrutiny. Urfuture says the new capital will be used to further develop its technology aimed at making entry-level hiring more efficient.

Founded in the United Kingdom, Urfuture has built a platform used by employers and young jobseekers, positioning itself in a market where companies are increasingly looking for faster and more targeted ways to recruit junior talent.
