Newcastle-based Rightbrain AI has secured £3 million in funding to help SMEs and mid-market companies address the practical barriers to deploying AI.

The company provides a platform for B2B services businesses, including marketing agencies, recruitment firms and professional services firms, to build and deploy AI agents within the software they already use, such as CRMs and Google Workspace. Its approach is designed to give businesses access to models from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google without requiring a full digital overhaul.

The round was led by Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II through PXN Equity Finance, with participation from existing investors Salica and NYDIG, as well as four new angel investors.

Rightbrain AI said the funding will be used for strategic hires, supporting customer demand, expanding its partner programme in the UK and internationally, and deploying its own tool to identify, qualify and convert new customers.
