Copenhagen-based Perplant has raised €1 million in a funding round backed by private angel investors, with institutional participation from the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark, project grants from the European Space Agency, and support from Innovation Fund Denmark.

Founded in 2022, the agtech company develops AI-based tractor-mounted systems that use high-resolution field imaging and edge processing to detect crop and field conditions at plant level. The technology is designed to guide targeted application of herbicides and fertilizers in real time.

The new funding will support deployment across Perplant’s existing European markets, further development of its field-level dataset, and expansion of commercial operations as the company continues testing and scaling its precision agriculture system.

The round highlights continued investor interest in agricultural technologies that combine on-field imaging, AI, and precision input management as farmers face pressure to improve efficiency and document field-level practices more closely.
