Sectra has completed its acquisition of Oxipit, a Vilnius-based radiology AI company, in a deal announced on April 15, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Oxipit is known for developing autonomous AI tools for radiology, including what it describes as the first solution to receive CE Class IIb certification for autonomous chest X-ray analysis. With the acquisition now closed, Sectra said it will continue developing ChestLink, Oxipit’s flagship product for autonomous chest X-ray analysis.

The deal adds a regulatory-cleared autonomous AI product to Sectra’s imaging portfolio at a time when healthcare systems are facing rising scan volumes and pressure on radiology teams. It also gives the Swedish medical imaging and cybersecurity company deeper capabilities in a category of AI designed to independently complete defined diagnostic tasks, rather than only assist radiologists with prioritization or decision support.
