London-based Nexcade has raised a $6 million seed round led by Project A Ventures, with participation from Connect Ventures, MMC Ventures and Entropy Industrial Capital.

The company builds AI agents for freight forwarders, using automation to turn unstructured work from emails and conversations into structured workflows for pricing, quoting and rate procurement. The round also included angel investors from logistics and AI companies, including executives and founders from Vanguard Logistics, n8n, Altana, Sedna, UiPath and Cleo.

Nexcade said the funding will be used to grow its product, team and customer base across the UK, Europe and the US. It also plans to launch new AI agents focused on customer service, pricing and tendering.

Founded by Dan Bailey, Nexcade is targeting a part of the logistics industry where much of the operational work still sits across fragmented communication channels and manual processes.
