Munich-based Mobility Signage has closed a €1.8 million pre-seed funding round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds, with 2bX participating as co-investor.

Founded in 2023, the startup develops a central passenger information system for public and long-distance transport operators, cities, and rail companies. Its platform is designed to replace fragmented legacy IT environments with a unified data architecture that standardises interfaces and supports reliable real-time information across channels.

The company said the new funding will be used to expand the team and speed up development of its Data Hub and application layer.

Mobility Signage says it is already working with operators including BVG Berlin, SSB Stuttgart, Deutsche Bahn, and RSAG Rostock, an early sign of demand for tools that can connect existing transport systems without requiring a full infrastructure overhaul.
