The company is building open-source real-time infrastructure for what it describes as the Physical AI era, targeting applications such as robots, drones, XR systems, autonomous vehicles and remote operations. Kyber says its software can synchronize video, audio, sensor data and control inputs through a single SDK, with end-to-end latency as low as 8 milliseconds.
The round comes as investors look beyond AI models toward the underlying systems needed to connect software with machines operating in the physical world. Kyber is headquartered in France and was founded by Jean-Baptiste Kempf, who is also known as a lead developer of VLC.
