Amsterdam-based cybersecurity startup Dawnguard has raised an additional $3.3 million in pre-seed funding, bringing its total capital raised to more than $6.3 million. The round was backed by existing investor BNVT Capital in the UK, with new participation from Curiosity VC in the Netherlands and eCAPITAL in Germany.

The funding comes as Dawnguard publicly launches its platform, which is designed to embed security into system architecture from the outset using AI and machine learning. Founded by Mahdi Abdulrazak and Kim van Lavieren, the company focuses on helping organizations identify architectural and configuration risks earlier in the software development process.

Dawnguard also said it has opened a New York City office, marking an expansion beyond its Amsterdam base. The new funding will be used for product development, AI-driven architecture intelligence, enterprise go-to-market efforts, and international growth.
