4DMedical said on June 1, 2026 that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire Vienna-based contextflow, an AI medical imaging company focused on lung disease detection and radiology workflow software. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal gives the Australian respiratory imaging company an immediate commercial foothold in Europe while adding AI tools for lung cancer detection and chest CT analysis to its functional lung imaging platform. contextflow develops clinical decision support software for conditions including lung cancer, interstitial lung disease and COPD, and its portfolio includes the CE-marked ADVANCE Chest CT product.
4DMedical said the acquisition is aimed at expanding its European presence and broadening its offering across detection, diagnosis and monitoring. As part of the transaction, contextflow CEO Markus Holzer will become General Manager of 4DMedical Europe.
