CardNexus, a platform for trading card game collectors and sellers, has raised €3.5 million in pre-seed funding led by Piton Capital. The round also included Motier, Financière St James, OPRTRS, Kima Ventures, Aquiti, F4, and a group of angel investors and trading card game content creators.

The company says the funding will be used to add support for more games, expand marketplace features, and develop an open platform with a public API. Planned product updates include messaging, offers, bargaining, profiles, and social features aimed at improving how collectors and sellers trade across markets.

CardNexus is building tools for users to track collections and buy and sell cards across multiple games and countries through its marketplace, mobile app, and API. The raise comes as interest in trading card games continues to grow, creating demand for newer infrastructure built around mobile use, cross-border trading, and multi-game collecting.
