Swedish technology company Airon has secured a strategic investment from Paris-based Meanings Capital Partners through its Meanings Infrastructure Fund, in a deal aimed at expanding AI data centre infrastructure in Lidköping. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The funding will support an extension of Airon’s existing facility and the construction of two additional data centres, with the site expected to scale toward 24 MW of operational capacity. Airon builds and operates its own facilities in Sweden, providing GPU capacity for AI and high-performance computing to businesses, public authorities and other organisations in Sweden and abroad.

The investment comes as demand for Europe-based compute infrastructure continues to rise, with access to AI capacity becoming a growing strategic issue for both public and private sector users. For Airon, the new backing is intended to accelerate development of its local data centre cluster and expand available capacity from its Swedish base.
